Regular Meeting of IROs at ISEC

On 18 October, a working meeting with International Relations Officers (IROs) of Armenian HEIs was organized at International Scientific-educational Center of NAS RA. The general purpose of these meetings is to discuss the problems that incoming/outgoing students face during their Erasmus+ mobility abroad, jointly look for solutions that would facilitate compatibility of ECTS credits and grades enabling credit transfer and accumulation.

Erasmus+ National Office Programme Coordinator Lana Karlova presented the priority in the ICMs in terms of introducing and valuing inclusive education and social inclusion.

Head of Foreign Affairs Department of ISEC NAS RA Arusyak Harutyunyan presented the mechanisms of implementing ICM projects at ISEC NAS RA and particularly she focused on the outcomes – benchmarking of courses the lecturers teach at ISEC with the similar courses taught at hosting partner universities, negotiation and drafting double degree programs, opportunities for the academic staff and students to take part in different conferences and scientific and educational events held in the hosting country. Taking into consideration the successful experience of Environmental Protection and Nature Protection Department of ISEC NAS RA, the requirement for joint scientific publications and research articles is already a must for the future staff.

Then Head of International Cooperation Unit at ASPU Marianna Harutyunyan presented the experience of implementing ERASMUS+ WEEK at ASPU. Davit Pipoyan in charge of internationalization at Environmental Protection and Nature Protection Department of ISEC NAS RA proposed organizing a pan-Armenian ERASMUS+ WEEK with the involvement with all the Armenian HEIs implementing ICM projects.

At the end of the meeting, ArcCert Company representative presented ArcCert soft - a decentralized platform for educational institutions and training centers to create, issue and store tamper-proof, verifiable diplomas and certificates. ArcCert prevents forging of credentials, delivers trust and ensures readiness for stepping into future education and career prospects.
