ISEC Administration Members attended the ARMDOCT project workshop in Italy

On November 14-17, the ARMDOCT project workshop is being held at the University of Teramo, Italy, within the framework of the ERASMUS+ K2 Capacity building in Higher Education.

Around 40 representatives from the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, EU and RA partner universities, including the RA NAS International Scientific-Educational Center, as well as research institutes are participating in the workshop.

Prof. Dino Mastrocola, the rector of the University of Teramo, as well as the project coordinator from Teramo University, Prof. Paola Pittan, the coordinator of ARMDOCT project Arevik Ohanyan and others made an opening speech.

By welcoming the participants, Dr. Mastrocola emphasized the importance of sharing international advanced experience on the way to doctoral education reforms, noting that the experience of Teramo University has a significant role and importance in this process, and they value the establishment of the ARMDOCT program and are ready to support Armenian partner universities. He also mentioned that the Salzburg principles encourage the reforms of the third level of education, which will inevitably lead to the introduction of a variety of doctoral programs and innovative structures in Armenia, one of which can be the formation and development of Doctoral Schools.

Welcoming all the guests, the project coordinator Arevik Ohanyan presented the progress of the activities carried out within the framework of the ARMDOCT project and the expected results. She highlighted the obligations undertaken by the RA in the context of the third-degree reforms based on the Salzburg principles, in particular, the introduction of joint doctoral programs with the close cooperation of the consortium members. Summarizing the speech, A. Ohanyan expressed hope that within the framework of the program, new future-oriented doctoral programs will be created, which will be attractive for international students as well. On the first day of the workshop, the experiences of Teramo University's Doctoral School and doctoral education programs were also presented.

It should be noted that representatives of 15 member institutions participate in the ARMDOCT program, including: 4 EU and 8 RA higher education institutions, 2 research institutes from the Republic of Armenia, Supreme Certifying Committee, as well as the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
