Director of ISEC NAS RA Armen Sargsyan Met with the Newly Elected Rector of the University of Tuscia, Tiziana Laureti

From June 8 to 12, 2026, the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, Italy, hosted the 7th International Staff Week under the theme “Artificial Intelligence, Inclusion and Sustainability in Higher Education”.
Within the framework of the Staff Week, Armen Sargsyan, Director of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA), met with the newly elected Rector of the University of Tuscia, Professor Tiziana Laureti.
The ISEC NAS RA delegation also included Angela Papikyan, Head of the Foreign Affairs Department, Karen Sargsyan, Head of the Department of Economics and Management, and Davit Pipoyan, Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Protection and Nature Management.
During the meeting, held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, the parties reviewed the achievements of the fruitful cooperation established between the two institutions over the years and identified the priority directions for its further development.
Discussions focused on ongoing and planned initiatives within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, opportunities for expanding student and academic and administrative staff mobility, the implementation of joint research projects, and the prospects for introducing innovative and digital solutions into educational processes.
Professor Tiziana Laureti highly appreciated the partnership established with ISEC NAS RA, emphasizing that cooperation based on mutual trust and shared values has produced tangible results in recent years and created a solid foundation for new joint initiatives.
For his part, Director Armen Sargsyan congratulated Professor Laureti on her election as the Rector of the University and reaffirmed the Center's commitment to continuing and further strengthening cooperation in the fields of education, science, academic mobility, and the implementation of international programs.
