June 26, 2025
Another stop in the series of career orientation visits organized by the Public Relations and Career Department of the International Scientific and Educational Center (ISEC) of the NAS RA was the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. The visit on June 25, 2025 was organized at the request of master's students of the "Oriental Studies (Turkic Studies)" specialty of the ISEC of the NAS RA. The goal was to get acquainted with the activities of the museum-institute, to understand to what extent the structure suits them as a place of internship and future work.
The visiting group, led by Heghine Melkonyan, Head of the Public Relations and Career Department of the ISEC NAS RA, was welcomed by Inessa Stepanyan, Head of Educational Programs at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
The Master’s students were introduced to the general directions of the museum-institute's activities. The introduction to the institute was provided by detailed information provided by the scientific secretary, candidate of historical sciences Narine Margaryan. Information about the museum was provided by the deputy director for museum Lusine Abrahamyan.
An interesting and constructive question-and-answer session took place, during which the parties had the opportunity to get acquainted with the specifics of each other's activities, common interests, and opportunities for establishing multifaceted cooperation with each other.
The results of the visit were summarized in a feedback questionnaire provided to the students by the Public Relations and Career Department of the ISEC NAS RA, the analysis of which confirmed the usefulness of the visit. It gave the master's students the opportunity to understand that the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute is a preferred place for their internship, and the Head of the Public Relations and Career Department of the ISEC NAS RA, expressing the willingness to discuss this demand with the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute management in order to ensure its realization through the appropriate procedure. For two of the students, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute became a desirable place to work; they expressed their readiness to join the team of devotees of the national institution.
The students highly appreciated the level of organization of the visit by both the ISEC NAS RA and the museum-institute, also confirming in their responses the appropriateness of organizing work orientation visits.
