September 23, 2025

On September 8–12, 2025, the annual European Conference on Educational Research (ECER-2025 Belgrade), organized by the European Educational Research Association (EERA), was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. This year, Narine Vardanyan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Quality Assurance Department of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, also delivered an oral presentation at the conference.

The main theme of the conference was “Charting the Way Forward: Education, Research, Potentials and Perspectives.” It focused on current practices in education and educational research, new opportunities, and future perspectives.

ECER-2025 featured plenary and thematic sessions, workshops, discussions, and networking meetings. Participants had the opportunity not only to present their research but also to establish new connections within the European and global academic community.

Together with her colleague from YSU, Alvard Semirjyan, Narine Vardanyan delivered an oral presentation entitled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Diplomatic Language Learning: Opportunities and Challenges in Teaching Armenian as a Foreign Language.” Her participation in the conference became possible thanks to grants provided by NAS RA and the Hovnanian Family Foundation.

It should be noted that ECER (European Conference on Educational Research) is one of the largest educational conferences in Europe, annually bringing together thousands of researchers, experts, and education policymakers. It serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of innovative ideas, and fostering international cooperation.
