The 2025 Annual Report Meeting Was Held at ISEC of NAS RA

On December 18 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Scientific Council of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC) was held. The agenda included the presentation of ISEC’s annual summary report on activities carried out in 2025.

The meeting was attended by NAS RA Academic Secretary Artur Ishkhanyan, members of the ISEC Scientific Council, students, and employees of various structural divisions of the Center.

In his opening remarks, A. Sargsyan, Director of ISEC of NAS RA, welcomed the participants and submitted the agenda for approval. The Director presented the key activities and events implemented at ISEC during the reporting year.

The report highlighted the Center’s achievements in the areas of the educational process, external relations and internationalization, scientific activities, development of infrastructure and electronic resources, public relations and student engagement, quality assurance, and human resource development.

Key performance indicators recorded during the reporting year were presented, confirming growth in positive outcomes. It became evident that the positive experience gained by the Center in previous years was not only preserved but further enhanced during the reporting year.

It was noted that processes aimed at the internationalization of the Center continued actively throughout the year. Cooperation with partner institutions expanded, and new international mobility programs were introduced. Particular emphasis was placed on the improvement of the Center’s position in the Higher Education Ranking international university rankings, where it ranked 305th among 422 universities.

The Center’s staff and students continued to demonstrate strong engagement in scientific research, reflected in a high number of published articles, the organization of scientific events, participation in national and international conferences, and the publication of books and the Center’s scientific journals. Special emphasis was placed on the growth in the number of articles published in journals indexed in the international databases Scopus and Web of Science. The Center’s scientific achievements also included projects implemented and ongoing within the framework of international grant programs.

It was noted that two joint master’s degree programs with double diplomas had been developed in cooperation with foreign universities, one of which has already been launched.

Approximately 95% of the Center’s active academic programs underwent monitoring with the involvement of external experts.

The hall for remote meetings was reopened, having been re-equipped with the necessary technical facilities and furniture.

Efforts were also made to organize students’ cultural life, improve the technical condition of classrooms, and address other related areas.

It was further emphasized that the Center’s activities during the reporting year were widely covered on its official website and social media platforms, which also saw an increase in the number of followers and visitors.

Highly appreciating the effective work carried out, the members of the ISEC Scientific Council unanimously approved the Center’s annual summary report.

Finally, with the participation of NAS RA Academic Secretary Artur Ishkhanyan, an active discussion took place focusing on the future of ISEC, its role and place within Armenia’s scientific and educational landscape, and in the context of legislative changes.
