ISEC Lecturer Hasmik Makaryan Delivers Lecture Series in Poland

April 16, 2026

From March 23 to 27, 2026, Dr. Hasmik Makaryan, a lecturer of the Department of Plant Diversity and Ecosystem Studies of ISEC NAS RA, made a successful academic visit to the Institute of Law, Economics, and Administration at the University of the National Education Commission in Kraków (UKEN). This visit, organized under the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program, served to further strengthen the long-standing and productive partnership between ISEC and Kraków University. During her time in Poland, Ms. Makaryan was hosted by esteemed colleagues, including Dr. Piotr Uhma, who had recently visited ISEC to share his own expertise, highlighting the reciprocal nature of this institutional partnership.

The visit focused on academic exchanges and the exploration of modern pedagogical approaches. In meetings with Polish colleagues, Makaryan engaged in discussions regarding bilateral cooperation and the development of practical skills within the educational process. To put these ideas into practice, she delivered a series of lectures centred on the professional and personal development of students, covering critical themes such as time management, leadership, and soft skills. These sessions were characterized by an interactive methodology that moved beyond theoretical instruction to ensure active student engagement and participation.

Reflecting on the experience, Ms. Makaryan emphasized that the visit provided a vital platform for mutual growth. Not only did it allow her to share her professional knowledge, but it also offered first-hand insight into the Polish higher education system. By establishing new professional connections and outlining specific directions for future collaboration, the visit reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to fostering a dynamic, international academic environment.
