Fields of Biodiversity Research and Aerospace Instrumentation Reinforced with Pioneer Master’s Graduates

On September 9, an eventful ceremony was held at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA), where graduation diplomas were awarded to graduates of two unique master’s programs in Armenia. Master's diplomas were solemnly presented to the second-generation graduates of the "Aerospace Instrumentation" program and the first-generation graduates of the "Biodiversity Research and Conservation" program.

The event was opened by Dean Atom Mkhitaryan. He highlighted the significance of the day not only for ISEC, but also for Armenia and the world as a whole, as the first and second generations of master’s graduates in two strategically important fields were stepping out into professional life as much-anticipated specialists for society. He warmly congratulated the graduates, wishing them continuous achievements.

Congratulatory speeches were also delivered by Head of the Department of Plant Diversity and Ecosystem Research, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Alla Aleksanyan, and Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, PhD in Technical Sciences Andranik Aghajanyan.

Alla Aleksanyan noted in her speech: "This day is special for me, as my professional dream has come true—having the opportunity to pass on my professional knowledge and experience to the new generation. I am grateful to the leadership of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA for giving me this opportunity, and to my professional colleagues for the journey we have walked together in bringing this idea to life. Today we are sending off the first generation of master's graduates of this crucial educational program. I am glad to see that the specialists we trained are in demand and will find their place in the field."

Andranik Aghajanyan emphasized: "We have had an interesting two-year journey. The conclusion was very impressive. Numerous serious theses were defended, which were not only interesting from a scientific and engineering standpoint, but also useful for our country and companies in our sector. Many of you are already our colleagues, and I am glad that all of you are engaged in the field. Given the importance of the sector, our ultimate goal was to prepare high-quality pioneers. I am very happy that you are all useful people for our country and homeland, and I have no doubt that you will achieve great success in this important field."

After receiving their diplomas, the graduates delivered speeches of gratitude.

Armine Arshakyan, an honor graduate of the "Biodiversity Research and Conservation" program, emphasized in her speech: "We had two wonderful years; the knowledge we received is simply irreplaceable. Coming to continue my education here was the best decision of my life. I am deeply grateful to everyone who established this department. I am confident that we will go a long way in this field."

Davit Mamyan, a graduate of the "Aerospace Instrumentation" program, noted: "The past two years were challenging yet very interesting. We are grateful for the knowledge and skills given to us. Here we were taught to work hard, as a result of which we feel that we are leaving with comprehensive knowledge and will achieve great professional success."
