Hike to Artanish by the ISEC Student Council: a Day of Unity and Beauty
December 8, 2025
Recently, the Student Council of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia organized an excellent cultural and active leisure opportunity for students — a hike to the summit of Mount Artanish.
The initiative belonged to the Vice President of the Student Council, experienced hiker Erik Grigoryan. The main goal of the hike was to strengthen friendship and team spirit among students after an intense academic period.
Artanish is a unique mountain, as it is surrounded by the waters of Lake Sevan on three sides and serves as an exceptional viewpoint from which the entire lake can be seen. ISEC students were amazed by the breathtaking scenery and the peaceful atmosphere at the summit.
The ascent took about three hours, accompanied by short breaks, cheerful music, high spirits, and jokes, which made the journey even lighter and more enjoyable. At the summit, the students organized interactive games and made new acquaintances with other hikers.
“Such activities not only promote a healthy lifestyle but also help students get to know each other better and develop their communication skills,” said Student Council President Arine Mkhitaryan, sharing her impressions after the hike.
The Student Council extends its deep gratitude to the ISEC administration for providing the necessary resources and support to organize the event.
The hikers address the ISEC student community with a message: “Join the upcoming Student Council events, and together we will discover the beautiful corners of Armenia!”
