Students of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA Visited the National Bureau of Expertise of NAS RA

On April 30 of the current year, Master’s students of the Department of Psychology at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA) paid an educational and career-oriented visit to the National Bureau of Expertise of NAS RA. The visiting group included students from different years of the “Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy” program and was accompanied by the Head of the Public Relations and Career Department of ISEC NAS RA, Heghine Melkonyan. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize participants with the organization of psychological expertise, its professional specifics, and to explore opportunities for internships and employment.

The host institution was represented by Deputy Director for Scientific Work, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Patvakan Voskanyan, Head of the Department of Psychological Expertise, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Ruben Aghuzumtsyan, and Head of the Training and Qualification Center Marine Serobyan.

In his opening remarks, P. Voskanyan welcomed the guests, presented the main areas of activity of the National Bureau of Expertise of NAS RA, and expressed readiness to organize similar visits for students of other specialties of ISEC NAS RA.

Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor R. Aghuzumtsyan delivered an interactive lecture, encouraging active participation and addressing students’ questions. He emphasized the importance of the psychologist-expert’s role and discussed selected professional methods, placing them within the broader context of the formation and development of psychology as a science in the Republic of Armenia.

The meeting lasted longer than planned due to the high level of engagement and the number of insightful questions raised by participants.

The visiting group left with a strong sense of satisfaction. According to feedback, several students expressed interest in pursuing future careers as psychologist-experts at the National Bureau of Expertise of NAS RA.
