A New Chapter in Armenia's Environmental Protection: ISEC Graduated the First Masters in Biodiversity

On May 15 of this year, the defense of master's theses of the first graduates of the master's program "Biodiversity Research and Conservation" of the International Scientific-Educational Center (ISEC) of the RA National Academy of Sciences was held.

The topics were dedicated to highly topical and interdisciplinary issues related to biodiversity conservation. According to Alla Aleksanyan, Head of the Department, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, the students conducted their research and analysis with great responsibility, a scientific approach, and a high level of preparedness.

The defense committee included representatives from various state agencies and international organizations.

Summarizing the defense results, the committee members emphasized the practical significance and innovative nature of the works, highlighting that it is advisable to submit the obtained results to the relevant authorities for their further application and integration into policy-making processes.

The achievements of the graduates demonstrate that this master's program makes a vital contribution to biodiversity conservation, the development of scientific potential, and the training of high-quality specialists in the field, thereby contributing to the advancement of Armenia's environmental policy, science, and sustainable development priorities.
