Italian Professors at ISEC NAS RA

From 2 to 5 October 2017 the professors having arrived from the University of Tuscia, Italy, in the frames of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program, will deliver lectures and hold group discussions on a number of state-of-the-art topics to share with the advanced European experience and training.
On 2 October, President of NAS RA Academician Radik Martirosyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Mr. Giovanni Ricciulli and the delegation of professors from the University of Tuscia, Italy, who have arrived in Armenia to deliver lectures at International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA and Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies of NAS RA on functional food, precision agriculture, geostatistics etc.
Welcoming the guests, President of NAS RA Academician Radik Martirosyan said, ‘The Republic of Italy is one of those European countries, with which we have multilateral cooperation projects in the fields of physics, natural sciences and Armenian Studies. We are working on our educational programs so as the knowledge of our graduates comply with the contemporary requirements, and, in this regard, we attach much value to the visits of Tuscia University professors and their lectures.’
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Mr. Giovanni Ricciulli also welcomes the participants, ‘I’m delighted to see the University of Tuscia in the Republic of Armenia, particularly, in the field of excellence for the Italian society - food safety and food quality we have much experience to share with. Nowadays, food safety and food quality in Italy are extremely important issues. Armenia has always been popular with the quality of its food and food production. And now when Armenia intends to exports its food products into Eurasian Union and European markets, this issue is more important than ever. Due to Erasmus+, we have an opportunity to continue our cooperation and exchange of experience.’
During the meeting the outcomes and achievements of Erasmus+ KA107 were discussed, while PhD students presented the outcomes of the research held at the University of Tuscia.
Starting from 3 October, the lectures continued at the Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies of NAS RA - at the Chair of Nature Protection and Nature Management of ISEC NAS RA for the academic staff, Master’s students, PhD researchers and research staff.
