Chair of Pharmaceutical Chemistry has a new head

The ISEC NAS RA's Public Relations Career Department continues to conduct interviews with the leaders of the ISEC's numerous master's programs in order to give thorough information about the master's programs to those who follow us, as well as to highlight the Center's possibilities and programs. S. Tosunyan, the head of the master's program in "Pharmaceutical Chemistry," is interviewed below.

- As the new chair, what fresh changes do you plan to make?

- Based on recent developments in the field of pharmacology, I believe it is necessary to bring the knowledge imparted to students up to date.

- What practical courses and opportunities does the Center's Chair provide students?

- The Chair and the Center provide an opportunity for students to carry out practical work in research laboratories.

- What are the advantages of the ISEC NAS RA Chair of "Pharmaceutical Chemistry" in comparison with the same specialties of other universities of the Republic of Armenia?

- One of the outstanding advantages is that our students get the opportunity to communicate with the Center's staff engaged in scientific activities.

- What international programs and collaborations do you offer to the students of the chair?

- The students of the chair can participate in the international programs implemented in the Center, if they wish.

- The teaching staff has a great role in the effective organization of the courses. Introduce the teaching staff of the chair, who teaches in the chair?

- The chair is taught by experts in respective fields, ranging from associate professors to doctors-professors.

- What are your thoughts on today's students? Do you believe they are sufficiently engaged in learning?

- In my opinion, they don't show enough attention.

- Where do the department's students complete their internships?

- Pharmacies and pharmaceutical businesses.

- What are the pharmaceutical-chemical sector's difficulties and prospects for growth in Armenia?

- Today, Armenia's pharmaceutical sector is quickly expanding to satisfy the needs of pharmaceutical businesses as well as worldwide standards.
