Education in Digital Age

With the support of the US Department of State, from 29 January to 16 February "Education in Digital Age" International Visitor Leadership Program was held in the US, where the representative of the Republic of Armenia was Arusyak Harutyunyan, Head of Foreign Affairs Head of ISEC NAS RA. The objectives of the program were as follows:
Provide an overview of current technological trends in education;

Assess how new technologies impact student learning, including the advantages and disadvantages;
Examine partnerships between educational institutions and private business or philanthropic organizations; and
Explain teacher training and continuing education on how to work with new technologies and their integration into existing curricula.
The participants visited such leaders in online and distance educations as MIT, Harvard, Blackboard, Google, edX, as well as numerous other related universities, schools and companies where they enjoyed the chance to listen to the leaders in this sector, receive the answers to their questions and to examine the challenges of education in the digital age.
