Armenian Day at Tuscia University

In the frames of Erasmus+ KA107 Credit Mobility Project implemented between ISEC NAS RA and University of Tuscia ISEC Delegation has paid a visit to the University of Tuscia, Italy, since 22 May.
The Armenian Day was celebrated publicly at the hall of Tuscia Univeristy on 25 May.
First of all, Member of the Academic Senate of the University of Tuscia Lenoardo Varvaro had a welcome speech thus welcoming the Armenian Delegation to University of Tuscia and wishing them fruitful cooperation and enhacement of ties between the HEIs of two friendly countries.
Dr. Armen Saghatelyan, Head of Department for Environmental Protection and Nature Management of ISEC NAS RA and Director of the Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies of NAS RA, gifted the icon of Gregory of Narek to University of Tuscia on behalf of ISEC, as Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church proclaimed St. Gregory of Narek the Doctor of the Universal Church, which is the highest title that can be granted by the Pope.
Later, the members of the Armenian Delegation, particularly David Pipoyan, Lecturer at Department for Environmental Protection and Nature Management of ISEC NAS RA, presented the history of Armenia, interesting pieces of the national culture, afterwards Arusyak Harutyunyan, Head of Foreign Affairs Department of ISEC NAS RA, presented the activites of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, while Dr. Armen Saghatelyan presented the activities of the Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies of NAS RA.
After the end of the presentations there was a surprise for the participants of the Armenian Day – a table full of Armenian traditional dolma and other delicious food and wine, which had been prepared by the members of the Armenian Delegation.
