International Tourism Day in ISEC NAS RA

On September 27, 2016, the Master students of the department “Tourism Management” of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA celebrated the Tourism international Day. This holiday was adopted by the World Tourism Organization and has been celebrated all over the world up to this day.
During the event the opening speech was made by Associate Professor Z. Hayryan, who congratulated the Master students and the guests on the occasion of the International Tourism Day, indicating the importance and need of tourism development for the Republic of Armenia, where it was created and where the tourist infrastructure is undergoing dynamic development.
In her speech Z. Hayryan also noted, that since 1997 Armenia has been a member of the World Tourism Organization actively participating in the development of international and domestic tourism.
Among the participants and guests were “Culture and Social Programs” department head of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Armenia I.F Kasattskaya and the tourism expert M. Sahakyan, who welcomed and congratulated those presents on the occasion of the International Tourism Day.
At the beginning of the event the 2nd-year Master students (L. Shahnazaryan, R. Mailyan, A. Hovhannisyan) presented a summary report on the practical training conducted at Russian State University of Tourism and Services (06.06.2016-12.06.2016), during which various research activities were carried out.
Tourism expert M. Sahakyan made a final speech on the «Excursions Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow», indicating the basic tourism resources in Armenia, which arouse a great interest among guests visiting the Republic.
