Intellectual Game-Competition at ISEC NAS RA

On October 13, 2016, on the initiative of the Students' Scientific Society (SSS) President of the International Scientific Educational Center of NAS RA Mikich Parsadanyan an intellectual game-competition was organized dedicated to the 73th anniversary of the NAS RA and the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia. The event was sponsored by ''Vxsoft'' company headed by the Executive Director Vahagn Mkhitaryan.
After the opening speech delivered by Mikich Parsadanyan the host of the competition Naira Alaverdyan presented the jury-members, among them - ISEC NAS RA Legal Counsel Lilit Kharatyan, Information Technologies Department Head Armen Sargsyan, ISEC NAS RA Master Studies Program Head Margarita Markosyan, lecturer of the Chair of History and International Relations of ISEC NAS RA Hamo Sukiasyan, Service Department Head of NAS RA Fundamental Library Susanna Tsaturyan.
The participating teams were as follows:
1. The faculty of “Jurisprudence” - the first-year students
2. The faculty of “Jurisprudence” - the second-year students
3. The faculty of “Psychology” - the first-year students
4. The faculty of “Psychology” - the second-year students
5. The faculty of “International Relations” – the first-year students
6. The faculty of “Oriental Studies” - the first-year students
7. The faculty of “Informatics and Computer Science” – the second-year students
8. The faculty of “Environmental Protection and Nature Management” – the first-year students.
The competition was held in three stages: preliminary, semi-final and final. After the first preliminary competition stage the five teams reached the semi-final stage. The teams of the following faculties: “Jurisprudence” (the second-year students), “International Relations” (the first-year students), “Informatics and Computer Science” (the second-year students) and “Psychology” (the second-year students) reached the final stage.
As a result of intense struggle the first honorary place was taken by the second-year students of the faculty “Jurisprudence” (the team members: Jorjeta Beglaryan, Vaghinak Eloyan, Haik Shahbazyan, Vladimir Arzumanyan, Anush Voskanyan). By the way, the event was also attended by Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory staff-member Sona Farmanyan, who invited the “Jurisprudence” team-member Vaghinak Eloyan and Haik Ispiryan (“Informatics and Computer-Science”, a second-year student) to visit Zorats Karer, Noravank and Trchni Cave.
All the participating teams of the event received encouragement gifts. The prize winning teams were awarded honorary diplomas and books. The winning team was also awarded the symbol of justice – the statue of “Femida”
Jury member Lilit Kharatyan expressed her gratitude to the organizer of the event Mikich Parsadanyan and the intellectual game-competition host Naira Alaverdyan awarding honorary diplomas and books hoping that such events would become a tradition in the students’ life of the Center.
